             ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT: We are pleased to announce that St. Catherine’s will hold a golf tournament on July 16, 2018. We anticipate that the tournament will become an annual tradition and fundraiser for the church. This year’s tournament will take place at one of the Front Range’s premier golf courses, Highlands Ranch Golf Club in Highlands Ranch, CO. The 18-hole semi-private golf course opened in 1998. Designed by Hale Irwin, HRGC measures 7,179 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 126 and a 72.9 USGA rating. The course features 5 sets of tees for different skill levels. This year’s format will be a shotgun scramble event beginning at 1:30PM. St Catherine’s parishioners will have first priority to register for the tournament. We will open tournament registration up to other Orthodox churches in the Denver Metro area the third week of March. Registration forms will be available beginning March 9th however, you can reserve a spot now by sending an email with your name and contact information to

TOURNAMENT EVENT PLANNING: The tournament committee has been busily working to create a great and memorable experience for all participants. A light lunch will be available prior to the start of the tournament and refreshments will be available on the course. After the tournament, we will hold an awards banquet and raffle. Awards will be presented to the tournament winners and skills contest winners (longest drives, hole-in-one, longest putts). In addition to the general raffle, we’ll also hold a bonus raffle this year. The cost of the tournament including lunch, banquet and general raffle ticket will be $150. If you are interested in attending the banquet only, please contact a committee member for more information.

OPEN INVITATION FOR VOLUNTEERS: We need your help! The tournament will be upon us in less than four and a half months. This means we’re going to need to hurry to get everything ready for the tournament. You do not have to be a golfer to volunteer. If you would like to help, please see any PC member or tournament committee member – we would love for you to help and need people to take charge of; Hole Sponsorships, Prize Donations/Coordinator, ‘The’ Raffle, Communications, Photographer and Registration.

If you are interested in providing a donation, that would be fantastic! Any amount or type of donations help offset tournament costs and that means more funds for St. Catherine’s. If you’re interested in becoming a hole sponsor, sponsorship are available for $100 each which includes your name or company logo and message.

Sam Sandos Christmas Baskets 7am-2pm

GOYA will once again be heading downtown the Saturday before Christmas to package and deliver Christmas dinners for needy families in the Denver area.  Please arrive at North High School in Denver (2960 Speer Blvd, Denver, CO 80211) at 7:00am.  

We will package meals for appx. one hour and then anyone who would like may stay to help deliver the packages to the homes of those who have applied for the meals.  We will be teaming up with St. Catherine Young Adult League (YAL) mentors to deliver the dinners, so PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU'RE COMING and we can arrange carpools! 

After a round of deliveries we will meet for brunch at 11:30 am @ Sam's No. 3 (435 S Cherry St, Glendale, CO 80246)  Families welcome to participate!
